57th Street report
If you’re searching for things to do in NYC Halloween 2025, here’s a must-see event. On Friday, October 31, the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show returns to the big screen at Burger Joint, the city’s hidden burger gem inside the Thompson Central Park Hotel (119 West 56th Street, just behind the red curtain in the lobby atrium).
There will be two screenings, at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., and here’s the best part — no tickets or cover charge required. Simply show up, grab a burger or shake, and enjoy the show. Guests are encouraged to arrive in their best Rocky Horror costumes for a night of Halloween fun!

Why It’s One of the Best Things to Do in NYC This Halloween 2025
If you’ve never seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show, this is the perfect time to experience it. The BBC once called it “the ultimate cult movie—the first, the biggest, the one to rule them all.” For over four decades, it’s defined what a “cult classic” really means.
Burgers, Shakes & Spooky Midtown Vibes
Hidden inside the Thompson Central Park Hotel, Burger Joint is a longtime New York City favorite known for hand-pressed burgers, crispy fries, and classic milkshakes. For Halloween, they’ll serve a limited-edition Science Fiction / Double Chocolate milkshake, which can be spiked with a shot for an extra festive twist.
So throw on your fishnets, order a spiked shake, and get ready to do the Time Warp again — because this is one of those Halloween experiences in NYC 2025 you’ll never forget.
