New renderings have been unveiled for 18W55, an elegant 26-story residential tower rising at 18 West 55th Street in Midtown Manhattan. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Skyline Developers, this sophisticated addition to the skyline is nearing completion, bringing modern design and timeless craftsmanship to one of New York’s most coveted neighborhoods.

Rising 289 feet between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, 18W55 will span over 152,000 square feet and introduce 97 rental residences, ranging from studios to three-bedroom layouts averaging 1,300 square feet. The building also includes 6,380 square feet of ground-floor retail space, further enhancing the dynamic streetscape, and a 10,343-square-foot cellar level.
Design and Architecture
Morris Adjmi’s signature architectural approach—refined, contextual, and richly detailed—is evident in the building’s stepped setbacks and finely crafted façade. The upper levels feature private terraces overlooking the Midtown skyline, offering residents an elevated sense of urban living.
At street level, the multistory podium includes expansive retail space and a sophisticated main entrance framed by beveled façade panels and floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a striking yet inviting presence along West 55th Street.

Inside, the residences feature white oak flooring, lacquered cabinetry with brass hardware, and panelized appliances seamlessly integrated into custom millwork. Kitchens are finished with Cambria stone countertops and backsplashes, reflecting a balance of luxury and functionality. Spacious living areas emphasize light, flow, and the architectural precision that defines Adjmi’s work.
