A cherished New York winter tradition returns. On Sunday, October 26, Wollman Rink in Central Park will reopen for the 2025–26 season, celebrating its 75th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the rink is offering two free community days and preparing for an exciting Guinness World Record attempt later in the season.

A Winter Landmark Reborn
Since 1950, Wollman Rink has been one of the most beloved destinations in Central Park. Generations of New Yorkers have created memories here, gliding across the ice with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop.
The rink continues to honor the vision of Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, who originally imagined ice skating as part of the park’s design. Today, it remains a symbol of winter charm and community spirit.

Celebrate & Glide
To celebrate the milestone, Sunday, October 26, and Monday, October 27 will be Community Days, offering free admission to all.
Free tickets will be available from Thursday, October 23, at 5 p.m. via WollmanRinkNYC.com or at the box office.
Sunday hours: 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Monday hours: 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Although the Guinness World Record attempt has been postponed, it will still take place later this winter. Skaters are encouraged to keep an eye out for the new date and join in the fun.
