The landmark hotel honors the legacy of its most iconic fictional resident
In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Eloise, Kay Thompson’s timeless literary character synonymous with The Plaza Hotel, the storied property will host a complimentary two-day event open to the public.
Taking place on Thursday, July 17, and Friday, July 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event will feature a curated series of family-friendly activations, including gourmet sweets by Eleni’s, interactive dress-up experiences with British heritage brand Rachel Riley, and a luxury toy showcase from Yottoy. Guests will also be invited to participate in a themed scavenger hunt throughout the hotel’s retail gallery.
First published in 1955, Eloise captured the imagination of generations and has since become an integral part of The Plaza’s cultural identity. Her presence is permanently commemorated through a dedicated portrait in the lobby and the Eloise Suite, a destination for fans from around the world.
