Another major addition to Midtown’s luxury corridor is nearing completion. The Rolex Building at 665 Fifth Avenue is entering its final stages of construction. As a result, it will soon introduce a new architectural statement to one of Manhattan’s most prestigious retail and office corridors.

A New Landmark on Fifth Avenue
Designed by British architect David Chipperfield in collaboration with Adamson Associates, the 30 story tower rises 469 feet above Fifth Avenue and East 53rd Street. The project is being developed by Rolex Realty Company.
In total, the building will deliver approximately 165,000 square feet of office and retail space. Most notably, it will feature a multi level Rolex flagship store along with the brand’s U.S. headquarters.

Architecture Inspired by Craftsmanship
The building’s serrated glass façade and stepped massing create a refined and modern presence. At the same time, the design draws inspiration from the fluted bezel of Rolex watches. This connection translates the brand’s precision into architecture.
Inside, the tower will offer premium office floors and hospitality driven amenities. In addition, it will include event spaces and restaurant offerings. These features are designed to attract high end tenants seeking boutique office environments in Midtown.

Sustainability and Performance
Equally important, the Rolex Building is positioned as a leading example of sustainable design in Midtown. The project includes a double skin façade and all electric operations.
Furthermore, it will feature rainwater and greywater recycling systems. A radiant ceiling system will also regulate temperature efficiently. Because of these features, the tower is targeting both LEED Platinum and WELL Platinum certifications.

The Evolution of Fifth Avenue
More broadly, this project reflects the ongoing transformation of Fifth Avenue. Luxury brands are increasingly investing in flagship developments that combine retail, office, and hospitality.
Meanwhile, nearby corridors such as Billionaires’ Row and the Plaza District continue to evolve. As a result, developments like the Rolex Building reinforce Midtown’s position as one of the world’s most valuable commercial destinations.
The tower is expected to open in Fall 2026.
