Big changes are happening along Billionaires’ Row! The final stages of demolition have wrapped at 12 West 57th Street, clearing the way for a stunning new addition to Midtown Manhattan’s skyline.
A Towering Vision Takes Shape
At 672 feet tall, this 52-story residential skyscraper, designed by the renowned Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and developed by Stefan Soloviev of Solow Building Co., promises to bring modern luxury to the heart of 57th Street. The project replaces a series of older buildings spanning 10–20 West 57th Street, creating a unified space for this architectural marvel.
Demolition Milestone Reached
Over the summer, crews carefully dismantled the final structures bordering the Crown Building at 730 Fifth Avenue. Today, the site is completely cleared, with the western end serving as a staging area for the next phase of construction.
What’s Next for 12 West 57th Street?
The renderings reveal a sleek, rectangular design with a dark glass facade. At its base, a contrasting mid-rise annex features white marble and metal panels, while a landscaped residential entrance along West 57th Street will include a serene pond and sculpture. Retail spaces will add to the vibrancy of the location, making it a hub of activity for residents and visitors alike.
While these renderings date back to 2019, it remains to be seen if any design updates will enhance the project further.

Residents will enjoy convenient access to the city’s best transportation, with the F train at 57th Street and Sixth Avenue, and the N, R, and W trains just a short stroll away at Fifth Avenue-59th Street.
