Construction is swiftly advancing at 126 East 57th Street, a striking 28-story residential tower rising along Billionaires’ Row in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by the innovative minds at ODA Architecture and brought to life by MRR Development, this 346-foot-tall skyscraper is poised to become a standout addition to the city’s skyline. The tower will house 147 luxurious condominiums, each averaging 1,156 square feet, alongside 5,000 square feet of prime retail space at street level. With ODA also leading the interior design and Plaza Builds managing construction, this project promises to be as refined on the inside as it is eye-catching on the outside.
Recent updates reveal significant progress, with additional floors added to the building’s complex, reinforced concrete structure. The lower levels are beginning to showcase expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, subtly recessed from the sleek, smooth concrete façade. As the wooden formwork and scaffolding climb higher, the building’s unique design elements—setbacks, irregular cutouts, and bold overhangs—are becoming more pronounced. These setbacks will eventually be adorned with clear glass railings and lush greenery, blending urban sophistication with natural elegance. With the pace of construction, 126 East 57th Street is on track to reach its full height by the end of August.
