57th Street Report

Conceived in 1907 by architects Pollard and Steinam, Parc Beaufort is a designated New York City landmark occupying one of Midtown Manhattan’s most prestigious addresses. Positioned two blocks south of Central Park, adjacent to the architectural icons of Billionaires’ Row, and within steps of Carnegie Hall, the building’s original limestone and brick façade has been meticulously preserved — a testament to the enduring character of the light-filled artists’ studios it once housed.

The property has since been reimagined for contemporary residential living through a collaboration between AD100 Hall of Fame interior designer Steven Sills Associates and architecture firm MdeAS. The result is a boutique collection of residences that draws on the building’s creative legacy while introducing a refined suite of finishes and amenities befitting its landmark address.

A Building With a Story to Tell

The building’s ornate historic façade has been preserved under the stewardship of MdeAS Architects, while the interior has been transformed with equal care. The double-height lobby features polished Flamingo Red and honed Wenghe Grey marble flooring by BAS Stone, rift-sawn white oak wire-brushed wall paneling, blackened bronze metalwork, and a vaulted coffered ceiling — an arrival sequence that sets the tone for the residences above. Custom crown moldings and a state-of-the-art VRF 2-pipe heat-recovery HVAC system — delivering simultaneous heating and cooling — further distinguish the building’s infrastructure.

Amenities

Parc Beaufort offers a curated amenity program thoughtfully scaled to its boutique nature. A 24-hour attended lobby provides continuous service, while a win

dowed fitness center overlooking West 57th Street is equipped with an infrared sauna. The windowed residents’ lounge — also facing West 57th Street — is appointed with honed French limestone large-format tile flooring in a running bond pattern, fabric wallcoverings, and custom furnishings selected by Stephen Sills Associates.

Atop the building, a 1,600-square-foot roof deck features lush plantings, multiple seating areas, and an outdoor kitchenette. Additional building services include private storage, bicycle storage, and a dedicated package room.
