Motek is bringing a fresh wave of Mediterranean flavor to Midtown Manhattan. The Miami-born restaurant brand will open its flagship location at 60 West 57th Street, taking over the former Rue 57 corner. Known for its lively spirit and health-conscious menu, Motek continues to expand its presence in New York City with this exciting new chapter.

After 25 years, the beloved French brasserie Rue 57 closed its doors, leaving one of the most iconic corners in Manhattan vacant. Now, Happy Corner Hospitality, the company behind Motek, is transforming the space into a new culinary destination. The 6,700-square-foot restaurant is set to open in spring 2026, offering both charm and energy to the block between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
Founder Charlie Levy, a former New Yorker, shared his excitement about the opening.
“New York has always represented possibility, energy, and culture — everything Motek stands for. To bring our food and spirit here feels like coming full circle,” he said.
The new restaurant will combine Mediterranean warmth with modern New York style. Natural textures, golden tones, and refined finishes will set the mood. The menu will feature Motek’s signature dishes — hummus, shawarma, schnitzel, and grilled meats — all made without seed oils. In addition, guests can expect fresh salads, mezze platters, and signature cocktails.
Meanwhile, this expansion represents more than just a restaurant opening. It’s also a revival for West 57th Street, an area in transformation after several closures and redevelopments. Motek’s arrival adds life and community to a block that has long been part of New York’s cultural rhythm.
