Let's Talk

Howard Morrel & Leslie Hirsch of Christie’s International Real Estate represented the buyer of the No. 1 contract signed in Manhattan last week

Residence 66B at 157 West 57th Street, asking $26,000,000, marks one of the most exceptional closings on 57th Street so far this year.

Located at One57, a crown jewel of Billionaire’s Row, the residence spans 4,193 square feet with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths. But its most defining feature is a 42-foot living room that frames uninterrupted, panoramic views over Central Park – a skyline vantage that continues to define ultra-luxury value in Manhattan.

The apartment also features a grand entry gallery, an expansive primary suite with park frontage, and soaring ceilings that elevate the space, both literally and figuratively. The buyer moved decisively on this April listing, recognizing the rarity of scale, light, and location on one of Manhattan’s most iconic streets.

“This purchase reflects what we’re seeing across the luxury market: buyers are prioritizing view, scale, and pedigree—and One57 delivers on all three,” said Howard Morrel.

One57 was designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architect Christian de Portzamparc, with interiors by Thomas Juul-Hansen. As one of the original towers to define Billionaire’s Row, it remains a benchmark for vertical luxury living in New York.

This contract is not only a win for the buyers, but another signal that Park-facing inventory on 57th Street remains in demand, particularly among all-cash, view-driven purchasers.
