Annie Leibovitz successfully secured a buyer and a higher selling price for her Upper West Side co-op. Public records reveal that the renowned photographer sold her duplex at 88 Central Park West – close to 57th Street – for $10.7 million, approximately 20 percent above the unit’s initial asking price. However, the sale amount is $650,000 less than what she paid for it back in 2014.
Curbed was the first to report on this transaction. The deed identifies Kim Cooper, Apple’s general counsel, and Gregg Zehr, the mind behind the Kindle, as the purchasers of the expansive 3,500-square-foot residence with scenic views of Central Park. Situated on the fifth and sixth floors of The Brentmore, a historic 12-story co-op built in 1910, the home features four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Former residents of The Brentmore include notable figures like Robert De Niro, Paul Simon, and Sting, and the building boasts amenities such as a doorman, private storage, and a gym.
Despite retaining much of the original pre-war details, Leibovitz undertook renovations, including the addition of an office and library.
